Pedagogy- What is it?
Pedagogy can be defined as the art or science of teaching. (Dictionary.com, 2013). It is most important as teachers, to ensure we are using productive pedagogies to promote student success.
-Digital Pedagogy?
Digital pedagogy is embedding ICT to improve the quality of student's learning.
I believe that embedding ICT in a classroom is not only a professional requirement for teachers but is essential for engaging our learners, as they are digital natives- they live and breath technology.

TPACK Framework
The TPACK Framework is an outline of the three main essentials to being a successful teacher.
Technological
Pedagogical
And
Content
Knowledge
To be a successful teacher you must not only have relevant content knowledge but you must have the skills to actually teach that content- pedagogical content knowledge.
When it comes to using technology a lot of teachers are very aware of how to use it- the problem occurs when teachers are unsure of how to use technology to TEACH.
It is important that teachers are aware of how to embed technological, pedagogical and content knowledge all into one. As a future primary school teacher, I see great value in the TPACK framework and look forward to embedding it into my practices.
Blooms Taxonomy
Blooms taxonomy promotes higher order thinking, focusing on;

"This taxonomy of learning behaviours can be thought of as “the goals of the learning process.” That is, after a learning episode, the learner should have acquired new skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes." (Clark, D. 2013)
This weeks WIKI Activity promoted to idea of higher order thinking. I was able to really think about the topic rather than giving a simple yes or no answer.
WIKI Activity Reflection

I really enjoyed being involved in the Wiki activity as I was able to gather a vase range of different perspectives on the topic of; 'Mobile phones in the classroom' using de Bono's six Thinking Hats.
I was really interested in seeing what everyone's opinions on the topic were. I was especially intrigued to read some positive posts on the topic, as my opinion was very negative towards the idea of mobile phones in classrooms. I would be very interested in using something similar in my future studies.
Safety
As technology is a major aspect in classrooms today, as teachers we must ensure our students are safe while online and a protected from being exposed to anything that may be considered offensive or inappropriate.
